Introduction
The District Settings page defines Districts, their groups and the group's sections, within your County. This is not
relevant for District sites.
The settings here populate the Districts and Groups pages on the website's main menu.
Additionally, if a District also has a Scouts Online website, their details and group details will be presented from
their own website, thus removing duplication of effort or contrasting information - changes made by the District or their
Groups to their details will automatically by propagated to your County website.
NB. If one of your Districts, or Groups within a District, does have a Scouts Online website, please contact Scouts Online
to add them to your County.

On entry to the screen, you will be presented with a list of Districts within your County.
When Districts are listed here, clicking the [amend] button will move to the District's Details.
Clicking [add new] will add a new District and open up the details page.
District Details
The page displayed above, holds header details of the District, along with the details of the District's Groups.
The Name field holds District's name. This should be suffixed with "District".
The Moto/Sub-Header field holds the District's website sub-header. This is only relevant if the District also uses a
Scouts Online website.
The Sub-Domain and Full Domain fields relate to the District's website. Again, the Sub-Domain is only
used if the District has a Scouts Online website
If the District doesn't have a physical address, please specify your County office address.
Address Line 1 may hold a HQ/campsite name or your street address.
Where line 1 is used for a HQ name, Address Line 2 should contain your street address.
The Locality and Town should be populated with either Locality/Town or your village/County, whichever best
describes the location.
The County is not a mandatory field, but you may populate this where it is relevant to the address and the
County name has not already been used in the Town field.
Postcode is also mandatory and should hold the postcode.
Where the District has their own Scouts Online website, the Map Longitude and Map Latitude may be used by
search engines.
The Main Contact field allows selection of a user, setup in User Management, to be assigned as the designated contact listed
in the District page from the main menu.
The social media fields are only relevant if the District has their own Scouts Online website.
You may find out more about the functionality included in each Package Level at

As with the District details, the Group Details are also used for group websites. If a group within the District
has a Scouts Online website, they may add their website to the District and/or County by selecting them in the
County Site and District Site drop-down-lists on their website's Group Details admin page. The group
will then show up in this list.

District Groups Section Details
Clicking Group Section Details tab will move to a list of the Group's sections.
Each 'standard' Scout Group needs to have a 'Group' section as well as Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. The 'Group' section
is used as a holding place for the Group's address, Longitude and Latitude fields used to position
the Group on the Groups page map. An example 'Group' section is depicted above.
A 'Group' section is NOT required if the group contains just an Explorer Scout and/or Scout Network Unit which should have
their own address.
Each of the Group's sections should be setup here. These will populate the meeting times, on the Groups page on the main menu.
The Section fields are explained in the Section Details
documentation.
NB. County based Scout Network/Scout Active Support sections should be added under the Admin, Group Details page.
Clicking the [save changes] button will save updates and return to the sections list.
Clicking [cancel] will return to the sections list.
Clicking [delete record] will delete the section and return to the sections list.
